The Lorain Police Department now offers a secure online crime tip submission portal that allows residents to share information related to criminal activity anonymously.This portal provides an additional way for community members to submit tips safely and confidentially. 2026 Ohio Traffic Safety Summit
Registration is now open for the 2026 Ohio Traffic Safety Summit, hosted by the Ohio Traffic Safety Office. It all begins at the Ohio Union on Tuesday May 19. This two-day event brings together law enforcement, traffic safety professionals, and partners from across Ohio to focus on improving roadway safety.The summit will feature keynote speakers, breakout sessions, panel discussions, and exhibits covering topics such as impaired and distracted driving, speed management, motorcycle safety, and data-driven safety initiatives.

2025 Traffic Safety Updates
The Ohio Traffic Safety Office has released its latest TrafficWise update highlighting ongoing traffic safety initiatives and data for 2025. The update includes year-to-date confirmed traffic fatalities for 2025, as reflected in the featured image accompanying this post.
Additional topics include statewide efforts to reduce distracted and impaired driving, school bus safety grant implementation, motorcycle safety course registration, upcoming safety trainings and webinars, and available roadway safety grant opportunities.
