Finger Piers Outline Color

The Sunset Pier Park Project will redevelop a prominent area on the lakefront known as the “finger piers”. Park amenities are anticipated to include playground equipment, 1.3 miles of riverwalk, and fishing areas within a natural setting on the prominent finger piers.

The goals of this projects are to provide:

  • Public access to Lake Erie
  • Safety improvements creating a safer environment for families and visitors
  • Upgraded fishing areas and new outdoor recreational spaces
  • A new riverfront walkway linking to Black River Landing
  • An appealing lakeside destination for residents and visitors
