Schedule: E. 28th Street Rehabilitation Schedule

Scope: The intent of this project is to remove and replace the existing concrete roadway from back of curb to back of curb, approximately 27.3 feet. Excavation would be performed and a new stone base added. Deterioration due to heavy truck loads.

Public Comment Period: January 29th, 2021 till February 28, 2021.

Traffic Impact:

  1. Construction slated to start 7/11/2022. Working hours M-F 730-400. Project Completion – 11/16/2022.
  2. Traffic will be eastbound ONLY throughout the entire project duration.
    1. The City of Lorain will send out a traffic impact notification closer to the project start date.
    2. Temporary Truck Traffic route will be: East 28th St eastbound only, Tacoma, East 31stSt, and SR 57.
      1. If residents have concerns during construction, please let us know immediately, so that we can notify the field team and they can remediate the situation. We want to keep a clean worksite.

PID 111556 - East 36th St. Rehabilitation (Globe Ave. to Grove Ave.)

Schedule: E. 36th Street Rehabilitation Schedule

Scope: The intent of this project was to mill and fill the existing 22 foot roadway, complete major roadway rehabilitation via base repairs estimated at 25% to ensure a solid roadway base and sub base. 

Public Comment Period: July 30, 2021 till August 31, 2021.

Schedule: Broadway Rehabilitation Schedule

Scope: resurface and perform base repair on the worn pavement of Broadway from SR2 to East 28th Street (SR57). Other work will include spot curb replacement, and curb ramp preplacement to meet current ADA standards. Water main under Broadway will be replaced within Lorain County's portion of the project (Cooper Foster Park Rd. to W. 39th St.) at 100% Lorain County Cost.
