Black River Primary Clarifier Rehabilitation Project
This project will rehabilitate the three (3) primary clarifiers at the Black River WWTP. It will remove and replace equipment that has been in service since 1954 when the plant originally went online. This is a much needed project to ensure that the City of Lorain continues to meets its NPDES Permit obligations and regulatory compliance measures.
This project will rehabilitate the solids handling equipment at the Black River WWTP. It will remove and replace equipment within the Gravity Thickener and Primary Digester as well as upgrade the Heat Exchangers that have been in service since 1972. This project will allow the City of Lorain to continue to meet OEPA Regulations for solids disposal which allows the City of Lorain to save money by land applying solids to farm fields.
