Our vast park system, which encompasses 56 parks covering more than 800 acres, has provided countless hours of enjoyment and life-long memories for generations.

Allow your family to enjoy one of our 22 playgrounds, 19 baseball / softball fields or splash pad. Spend some time shooting baskets at one of our 16 basketball courts, or playing tennis and volleyball at Lakeview Park. Experience our many picnic facilities and amenities, take a stroll through Oakwood Park and view the dozens of squirrels and birds, or utilize the beautiful walkways surrounding Longfellow, Central, and Oakwood Parks for walking, jogging, or bike riding.

Take advantage of Girls of Summer softball league, men’s slow pitch softball, and boat launching ramps at muni-dock.

The parks in Lorain are an integral part of our past, present, and future. Please plan to make Lorain Parks and Recreation a part of your family’s recreational schedule.
