Mayor Chase Ritenauer Leads Walk To Fight No. 1 Killer - Heart Disease

Mayor Chase Ritenauer hosted the city’s first annual “Move with the Mayor Challenge,” on September 1st, a month-long series of walks to raise awareness about heart disease and ways to prevent it. The campaign, a partnership between the City of Lorain and the National Forum for Heart Disease & Stroke Prevention, encourages residents, business owners and anyone else interested to walk with the Mayor for 30 minutes every Thursday from now until World Heart Day, Sept. 29, 2016. The goal is to keep Lorain’s residents walking every day from now on in an effort to fight the No. 1 killer of Lorain citizens - heart disease. Everyone is encouraged to join the Mayor at Station 1 of the walking course on the grounds of Mercy Hospital located at 3700 Kolbe Road in Lorain each Thursday in September at Noon.
