On Veterans Day, 2008, Six LPD Officers serve in support of Operation Iraqi Free

As the nation celebrates Veterans' Day on November 11, 2008, we ask the citizens of Lorain to pause and remember the six Lorain Police Officers who are currently on active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. They are Lieutenant Jack Fleming, Lieutenant James McCann, and Officers Eric Manicsic, Jesse Perkins, Juan Rodriguez, and Ed Soto.

The majority of officers on the Lorain Police Department are military veterans and many have served during time of war. We are very proud of our veterans and especially our soldier/officers that are currently serving our country. We ask that you keep them (and their families) in your prayers….

The officers and staff of the Lorain Police Department honor the memory of those who gave their lives on our behalf…and salute all our brothers and sisters who ever served in defense of our nation. God bless you.
