311 - The Lorain Police Department's new number implemented for non-emergency situations. If you have a situation that is not serious, life threatening, or are not currently in progress, call 311. Calling 311 will get you directly to our Communication's Center. There is no fee for this service and it has been set up to make it easier for citizens to call the Police for any non-emergency type call. full story
 

NEWS RELEASE: Cop Logic, On-Line Reporting System

The Lorain Police Department is proud to announce it will be providing a new online police reporting option for the public. This web based reporting system will allow the public to file certain incident types, (minor theft, vehicle burglary, lost property, harassing telephone calls, crime tips, etc.), over the internet at their convenience. The Lorain Police Department expects this internet based reporting service to be very popular among citizens who have come to expect police services to be provided in a timely manner, and as convenient as possible. full story

2011 Girlscout Volunteers

Lorain Police Safety Town

Safety Town this year will start on Monday, June 13th, and run for a five week period, at Southview High School. There will be no Safety Town during the weeks of June 20th and June 27th. The program will resume on Tuesday, July 5th. Registration for Safety Town is conducted through Kindergarten registration and there is no charge to attend.
