The Board of Lorain County Commissioners will conduct four town hall meetings to hold discussions with residents on the challenges facing county government. There will be presentations made by county officials, and a question and answer session will be held. Topics will include: Public Transit, Heroin Epidemic, Crime, Taxes & Finances.
The town hall meetings will all begin at 6 p.m. and will be held on the following dates:
*Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 at the Lorain County Veteran Service Commission,1230 N. Abbe Road, Elyria.
*Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at the Sheffield Village Municipal Complex, 4340 Colorado Ave, Sheffield Village.
*Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at New Russia Township Hall, 46300 Butternut Ridge Road, Oberlin.
*Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016 at Lorain City Hall in Council Chambers, 200 West Erie Avenue, Lorain.
The participants include Lorain County Commissioners Ted Kalo, Lori Kokoski and Matt Lundy, Prosecutor Dennis Will, Sheriff Phil Stammitti, County Coroner Dr. Stephen Evans and County Treasurer Dan Talarek.
The town halls are free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to attend to share their thoughts and concerns about county government.
