Operation Ident - marking your valuables

Marking your valuables and recording serial & model numbers aids the Police in returning your items to you in the event they are lost or stolen.  Our department has two new ways to help identify your belongings if they happen to get stolen. Christmas Holiday

In observance of the Christmas Holiday, Lorain City Hall offices will be CLOSED on Wednesday December 24, 2014 and Thursday December 25, 2014.

Update to City Parking Ordinance, including Snow Emergencies

Please see attached for recently passed City Ordinance # 153-14, which changes parking on certain streets between December 1st through March 31st, from 2:00 am to 6:00 am, in addition to changes regarding snow emergencies. additional information

CenturyLink to connect teachers with technology by offering $35,000 in grants in Ohio

CenturyLink, Inc. in partnership with Foundation Source, is connecting teachers with technology for the classroom. The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology grant program opened its application process Oct.1 for teachers in CenturyLink’s local service areas who want to innovatively implement technology in their classrooms to increase student achievement. full story
