The fourth annual Black River Kayak-A-Thon will be held on June 27th, 2015. Registration will open at 8:00AM at the Black River Wharf. This event will include competitive races as well as a casual float for those who want to take their time and view the restoration projects. This event is being held to encourage recreation on the Black River and celebrate the restoration efforts that are underway along the river. Representatives from the project team will be on hand to provide you with more information about the Black River restoration effort and to answer any questions you may have.

  • Registration materials (form, waiver, and fee) must be completed and brought with you the morning of the event.
  • Registration fees are $25 for competitive races.
  • Registration fees for casual float are $10/Adult and $5/Child.
  • Make checks payable to The Black River Kayak-A-Thon.
  • Please read the registration information thoroughly! See the Registration Form & Information link to the left.
  • T-Shirts will be available for purchase for $15.

Competitive Races:

  • 13-Mile Long Race (2 Classes)
  • 6-Mile Short Race (4 Classes)
  • Prizes to the Top 3 places
  • Prizes awarded at the International Festival at 3:00PM
  • Complimentary Safety Whistle
  • Complimentary entry to the International Festival

Casual Float:

  • 6-Mile course
  • Four stops along course to collect "Tokens" for Prizes
  • Prizes awarded at the International Festival at 3:00PM
