Notice the new homes popping up throughout Lorain’s established neighborhoods? These homes are part of the new In-fill Housing Project sponsored by the City of Lorain Community Development Department. Our aim is to enhance our neighborhoods by erecting new houses which are consistent with surrounding residences. Neglected vacant lots are improved with attractive, quality built, homes. These homes are available to low/moderate income families who meet HUD Home Income Guidelines. Eleven families have already moved up to home ownership through In-fill Housing. Seven new homes are currently under construction, some qualify for CRA Tax reduction discounting property taxes for 15 years!
