I was raised in Lorain, and have spent the majority of my life living here.  I graduated from Lorain Admiral King in 1996 after receiving a world class education through the Lorain City School system. I attended Albion College and the Ohio State University.  I am currently serving my first term as the representative for Lorain's 1st ward.  Having grown up on Lorain's eastside, I am tremendously proud to be representing it on Lorain City Council.  I am currently the vice-chairman of the buildings and lands committee, and I am also a member of the federal programs and police & fire committees.

I have always had a passion for public service.  I am an eagle scout and previously served as the chairman of Youth as Resources, a group which gave grants to youth–led service projects.  I am a proud member of and ordained deacon in Heritage Presbyterian Church.  I also spent 2 years working for various campaigns and causes around the country, and I plan on using the knowledge and experiences I gained to help Lorain move in a positive direction.

I was born and raised in Lorain and have been a lifelong resident. I grew up on 18th St. and Hamilton Ave. and attended Nativity B.V.M. School, grade K through 8. I attended Admiral King High School from where I graduated in 1965.

During the summer of 1965 I joined the U.S. Navy serving four years. During my tenure in the Navy I served on board the USS Forrestal CVA-59 during a tragic explosion and fire on July 29th, 1967. Over two hundred of my shipmates lost their lives during this terrible tragedy.

I returned to Lorain in the summer of 1969 and worked for a year at US Steel. In January 1970 I was hired as a Lorain City Firefighter retiring in 2001 after over 31 years of service. During my time on the Fire Department I was President of my Local for over twenty years. I have been bestowed the honor of President Emeritus by my Local members of which I am very honored.

I also had the opportunity to serve as the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters in the capacity of District Vice President. During this time I have attended The George Meany Labor Institute in Maryland on two occasions as well as the Maritime Institute in Baltimore Maryland.

I am a lifelong member of the United Polish Club, a member of CHIPS, as well as many other community organizations. I am currently a member of the Lorain Perch/Walleye Committee.

I have lived in the 2nd Ward practically all of my life. I currently reside at 205 Louisiana Ave. with my wife Lisa and nineteen year old daughter Angelique' and sixteen year old son Anthony. I have been married to Lisa for over twenty one years. I also have a son, Jeremy and daughter Melanie.

I wanted the challenge of becoming the 2nd Ward Councilman based on a number of concerns.

Safety in our Neighborhoods…..Jobs……Developing our Waterfront……Cleaning up the Ward and our City…….only to mention a few.

Working together as a team is the concept that will move Lorain forward. We face new challenges daily and I believe have to re-adjust our visions to be more creative.

I commit to working and devoting all that I can to make Lorain a better City to live and raise our children in.
