Attended Sacred Heart School, McKeesport, Pa – graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Lancaster, and attended Lorain County Community College. Employed as staff nurse at Amherst Hospital retiring after 40 years of service. Employed 2006-07 with LCCC Center for Life Long Learning. Married 47 years, widow of Joseph A. Molnar, mother of 3 sons, 1 daughter, grandmother to 9 and a member of St. John’s Roman Catholic Church. Served as Council-at-Large 1998-2005. Many civic and political involvements include Voices for Children, National Citizens Participation, Murray Ridge Board Member, active in levy campaigns for Murray Ridge as well as Lorain City Schools. Served on NOACA, Lorain County Community College 2015 Vision Council, South Branch Library Citizens Panel, People’s coalition for better housing, and nominated to the Gallery of Honor At Lorain County Community College. |

Mitchell J. Fallis, a lifelong resident, serves all citizens of Lorain in the council-at-large office. Fallis begins his initial public service as the Chairman of the Finance and Claims committee and is a member of the Police and Fire Committee. Fallis, an Ohio-licensed certified public accountant for over two decades, brings to city council a strong combination of financial management know-how, economic development leadership and a lifelong commitment to our city.
As a Champion for a Beautiful Lorain, Fallis believes in:
- Building and keeping Lorain neighborhoods safe and clean
- Bringing new jobs by attracting new business to Lorain
- Beefing up Lorain’s public works and city services
He currently is a corporate accountant with AmTrust Bank, Cleveland, Ohio. Past professional experience includes 16 years with Lorain National Bank in the capacities of chief accounting officer and treasurer.
Fallis is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics in 1977. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Baldwin Wallace College in 1980 and graduated from Leadership Lorain County in 2004. Fallis serves on the Board of Trustees of Church on the North Coast and the South Lorain Community Development Corporation.

I am a proud lifelong Eastside Resident serving my first term as councilwoman. I am the first independent woman to be elected to Lorain’s City Council. I am vice chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee and a member of the Finance and Claims committee and Streets and Sidewalks committee. I am a proud 1991 graduate of Lorain High School, have an Associates Degree in Psychology from Lorain County Community College and a Certified Paralegal through Ohio University and the Center for Legal Studies. I am employed by Christian Temple Disciples of Christ as secretary where I am also member. I am Secretary for the Lorain Neighborhood Watch Council and President of the PTU at St. Anthony of Padua School. My husband David and I have been married for 9 years. David is a City of Lorain Firefighter. We have 3 children, ages 8, 6, and 4.
My goal while on Council is to vote based on the issues and facts not party line. I am ready to take on the challenge of cleaning up Lorain and seeing Lorain prosper once again.

I was born and raised in Lorain’s 2nd Ward. I attended Lorain St. Joseph’s School, graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1973 and went on to receive an Associate Degree in Computer Applications from Phillips Jr. College. I am an active member of the St. Joseph’s Parrish.
I was elected to my first term of council and look forward to improving the safety in our neighborhoods, cleaning up Lorain’s image and working with the new administration, Port Authority, downtown business and property owners and Community Development Department to bring new opportunities for our downtown, river and lakefront.
I serve as a Block Watch Captain and am an advocate for Lorain’s Neighborhood Watch Council. I serve as a local and regional Coordinator for the National Football League Pepsi Punt Pass and Kick contest, volunteer for Lorain City Schools Athletic Council, and support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County as a volunteer mentor for youth. I am the proud sponsor for the Lorain Port Authority flag pole program representing my family’s heritage and the many ancestors who have come to Lorain from Puerto Rico. I am a member of Lorain Growth Corporation, Black River Historical Society, and former Executive, Board of Trustee and Youth Committee Chairman for Direct Action for Central Lorain.

I am a lifelong resident of the City of Lorain and proud graduate of Admiral King High School. I am also a lifelong member of Greater St. Matthews A.M.E. Church in Lorain. I am currently employed as a Computer Resource Specialist at Lorain County Community College and as a Certified Installer and Technician for Business Industry Consulting Services International while pursuing my RCDD Certification and my BA in Urban Studies. In addition, I serve as Vice Chair of Lorain County Community Action Agency, Vice Chair of the African American Fund at the Community Foundation of Greater Lorain County, Lorain Lions, Knights of Columbus, United Polish Club and an officer of the Masonic Order Lodge #68 and ex-official member of Direct Action for Central Lorain. I also serve as President of Ohio Staff Council for Higher Education, and the Negro Professional Business Women’s Association. I have 2 beautiful children Egypt 17 and Malcolm 13 who are the lights of my life. As the Third Ward Council Representative, I am committed to generating and supporting educational and economic initiatives aimed at restoring jobs, hope and pride in the minds and hearts of Lorain citizens. |

I have served as Chairman of the Booth and Vendors Committee for the Lorain International Association for the past three years and am on the Board of Trustees. I am currently employed by the Lorain County Auditor’s office as Supervisor of the Consumer Protection Department. I was previously employed as co-manager of family owned business Bill & Don’s Catering, Lorain Party Center, for 25 years. I am married to Diane and have 2 children, Heather and Bret Jr. |

I have two children and I am an Active member of Church on the North Coast and an ordained Baptist Deacon. I am Past president of the NAACP and Committee for Positive Change in the Black Community, a Graduate of Leadership Lorain County and founder of the Minority Contractors Association in Lorain County. I also actively participate in various community organizations and church-related programs and functions. |

I am a life-long resident of Lorain, a certified public accountant and certified government financial manager. An employee of the Lorain County Auditor’s office since 1994, initially under Julian “Jay” Pijor and am currently the Chief Deputy of Finance for County Auditor Mark Stewart. I have worked in various areas of the County Auditor’s office. Prior to that I worked in public accounting.
A 1983 graduate of Lorain Catholic High School, 1987 graduate of Walsh College and 2005 graduate of Leadership Lorain County. I have been very active in the community currently serving as an officer and member of the Port of Lorain Foundation, Past President to the Lorain Sports Hall of Fame, and serve as volunteer treasurer to the Lorain County Metroparks levy committee.
I am married to the former Wendy Yepko, and have three daughters Madison, Morgan and Emma. We attend St. Joseph’s Church in Amherst.
I am in my second term on Council serving as chairman of the Streets, Sidewalks and Utilities committee and for the second consecutive term as vice-chairman of the Finance and Claims committee. I look forward to continue to monitor spending and working towards reducing the city deficit. Also, I hope to work with the administration on a long-term road improvement solution for our community.

I was appointed Clerk of Council in 1995, serving as the prior Council secretary since 1992. I graduated from Lorain High School in 1977 and obtained an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Lorain County Community College. In addition, I obtained Certified Municipal Clerk status from Kent State University in 2001, and am currently working towards a Master Clerk certification. I am active member of the Ohio Clerks Association and International Institute of Municipal Clerk's Association. Married to Dan and have three children. |
