CenturyLink to connect teachers with technology by offering $35,000 in grants in Ohio

CenturyLink, Inc. in partnership with Foundation Source, is connecting teachers with technology for the classroom. The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation’s Teachers and Technology grant program opened its application process Oct.1 for teachers in CenturyLink’s local service areas who want to innovatively implement technology in their classrooms to increase student achievement. full story

Leaf Pick-up

The City of Lorain will begin city wide leaf pick-up on Monday October 27, 2014. Attached is a schedule and map. Pick-up will be every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday through the month of November. full story
 

CRA Tax Exemption Program Application Processing Change

Effective Tuesday, April 1, 2014, the City of Lorain’s Department of Public Safety/Service will serve as the responsible department for the processing of Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) applications within the five (5) CRA Zones located throughout the City. full story
