Vaccines can help people stay healthy to avoid missed activities and work, and to have time for what matters most – family, friends and hobbies. To protect against serious diseases such as meningitis, shingles, whooping cough, hepatitis A and B, and chicken pox, Lorain County Public Health (LCPH) offers recommended vaccines for children, teens, and adults at locations across the county.
Clinic times and dates are subject to change. Bring vaccine record if available, insurance card, and cash, check, or Visa/MasterCard. All children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. LCPH participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program to provide vaccines to children who qualify; no child in the VFC program is denied vaccines for inability to pay.

Columbia Gas of Ohio will be surveying their gas lines and facilities in parts of Lorain throughout the month of June. Columbia Gas crews will capture the location of underground infrastructure using GPS equipment to create a more accurate picture of our gas delivery system. This investment in safety will also improve our emergency response and maintenance.
This process involves:
• Using a GPS receiver to record the location of gas facilities, including house meters.
• Tracing gas lines along the street and up to customer homes.
• Placing a door tag on homes to notify customers and residents of the work in their community.
All GPS technicians will carry a Columbia Gas of Ohio ID badge. Residents may call their municipality looking for more information on this project. Here is a brief YouTube video of the process:
